Check out the link below for her ''Pledge Music'' project! I recommend the track: ''Kids'', from her album: ''Tigermouth''. Thanks Kelli!

Transporter: Ian Pickering's group consisting of himself, his cousin Nick Clemens and his multi-instrumentalist friend Oyd. They only released one album: ''All These Lines Make Noises''. I managed to chat with Ian and he has also been generous, in not only providing information for the site, but also for very  kindly sending me a ''Bloodsport'' tour shirt. The tracks ''Sacrifice For Change'' and ''Perfect'' bare resemblances to the bass lines of ''Ten To Twenty'' and ''Kiro TV''. I recommend the track ''Suicide By Cop'', from this album. Thanks Ian!

Dee was also dating Noel Fielding - Noel and Chris both appeared in their music video ''Girl''. Noel also played live with Chris on some very early ''IAMX'' concerts. Sue Denim also sang back-up vocals on Sneaker Pimps songs such as ''M'aidez'' and ''Grazes''. I recommend the track: ''D.I.Y.'', from their self titled album.

Ultrafox: Short-lived, but highly interesting German synth-group, similar in fashion to ''Propaganda'', produced by Liam Howe under his moniker as ''The Zip'', with input from Joe Wilson and Chris Corner (Chris being present on the last track). They only released one album; ''Ice Skating''. The title track samples a small part of the Sneaker Pimps track: ''Bloodsport''. I recommend the track: ''Ice Skating.'', from this album.

Sue Denim: As mentioned above, Sue is the 2nd part to the ''Robots In Disguise'' duo and supplied various vocals for Sneaker Pimps. She has recently released her solo album: ''And The Unicorn'' and I recommend the track: ''Bicycle'', from this album. I also managed to get a chance to have a quick chat with her, she's traded the high life of London for the quirky-cool town of Bangor (Wales). Funnily enough, I thought I saw her there a few years back, not knowing she lived there and it was actually her. Never-mind! Thanks Sue!

Zoe Durrant: Zoe appears on the songs: ''Kiro TV'' and ''Think Harder''. She has recently released and EP called ''Islands'' and I recommend the track: ''Balloon'', from this EP. I also managed to get in touch with her and talked about various things and she was able to clarify that she sang vocals on the demo version of ''Missile'', as most assume it is Sue Denim. Thanks Zoe!

Samsara: ''Samsara'' was an American pop group, very similar in style to Sneaker Pimps. The lead singer, Paris Hampton was actually rumoured to be the singer on the ''Album 5 Demos''. I managed to speak to her and she recalls that Samsara was initally short-lived due to the label going under as their debut was released. In 2001, Sneaker Pimps remixed the ''Samsara'' track: ''Moonshine'', for their ''WMC 2001'' single. I recommend the track: ''Say Goodbye'', from their self titled album. Thanks Paris!

Sampled Music And Influences:

Japan/David Sylvian: Kelli and Chris were a fan of David Sylvian's group ''Japan'', who also split after recording 3 or 4 albums. They sampled David Sylvian's ''Let The Happiness In'' from his 1987 album: ''Secrets Of The Beehive'', for their track ''Waterbaby'' and the the track: ''Before The Bullfight'', from his 1986 album: ''Gone To Earth'', for the demo version of ''Low Place Like Home''. Another example of inspiration lies in the lyrics for ''M'aidez''; - ''Still Life Lived On Mobile Phones'', this is a reference to the ''Japan'' song ''Still Life In Mobile Homes'', from their ''Tin Drum'' album from 1981. I recommend the track: ''My New Career'', by ''Japan'', from their ''Gentlemen Take Polaroids'' album and the track: ''Wave'', from David Sylvian's ''Gone To Earth'' album.

Duran-Duran: Similar in style to ''Japan'', ''Duran-Duran'' were also fans of ''Japan'' and pretty much copied them, even down to David Sylvian's hair. Sneaker Pimps were big on ''Duran-Duran'', covering ''The Chauffeur'' on ''SYN's'': ''Meli-Melo'' CD and concert (Simon Le-Bon's label, which ''Bloodsport'' was released on in Japan) and also on the ''ICA Home Taping'' bootleg. I recommend the track: ''A View To A Kill'', from the ''James Bond'' film of the same name.

Discogs Page: https://www.discogs.com/artist/85897-Bauhaus

The Human League: Very briefly on the non-album track ''O-Type'', a sample from the track ''Love Action'' by ''The Human League'' can be heard. I recommend the track: ''Darkness'', from their album: ''Dare''.

Discogs Page: https://www.discogs.com/artist/10383-The-Human-League

Siouxsie And The Banshees: Sneaker Pimps used a segment of ''Urban Relapse'' by Siouxsie And The Banshees as a sample for the track: ''Tigers'', from the ''SP4'' album. I recommend the track: ''Dazzle'', from their album: ''Hyaena''.

The Wickerman/Soundtrack: Apparently, the majority of the band are huge fans of the 1973 film: ''The Wicker Man'', mostly Chris. The track: ''How Do'', samples Rachel Verney's dialogue of Willow (Rachel voiced over Britt Eckland's character Willow in the film) and also the song ''How Do'' covers the song that Willow sings (known as ''Willow's Song''). In the final cut and director's cut, a scene is present with a folk song called ''Johnny''. This was covered by Sneaker Pimps as a b-side to the ''Roll On'' single. Finally, during the final ritual scene just before Howie is sacrificed, a short melody is played by a cult member on a string instrument which was then used as a sample on ''Post-Modern Sleaze''. I highly recommend this film, it is still very fresh, arty and quite frankly, shocking.

Be Bop Deluxe: ''Sun Ate The Moon'', from the ''Album 5 Demos'' set samples the track: ''Life In The Air Age'' from ''Be Bop Deluxe's'' 1976 album: ''Sunburst Finish''. Some similarities can be made, not in terms of music style, but they were constantly evolving and in 1978 they released their final album: ''Drastic Plastic'', just like their Sneaker Pimps' final album (as of Bloodsport in 2002), they also moved to France to record it, employing unique and ahead of it's time styles. The group was fronted by Bill Nelson, who also worked with David Sylvian on ''Gone To Earth''. I recommend the track ''New Precision'', from their album: ''Drastic Plastic''.
